I Hate Ted Thompson

I. Hate. Ted. Thompson.  I think he is extremely overrated and has been riding the coat tails of Aaron Rodgers for far too long.  When Aaron Rodgers gets hurt, you never see a running game or defense pick up the slack and win some ball games.  I get it, you can't replace Aaron Rodgers and his importance to this organization.  But looking like an awful team anytime he gets hurt shows that Teddy bear hasn't put together a true TEAM to win games.

Lets take a quick look at the Packers record in games without Rodgers.  Counting the Minnesota game this year, the Packers are 3-7-1 without Rodgers and 94-47 with Rodgers.  I understand that Rodgers is a once in a generation talent and any team that would lose him wouldn't be as good, but lets take a look at the Patriots record without Tom Brady.  The Patriots are 189-54 with Tom Brady and 13-6 without Tommy.  The Steelers, 129-62 with Big Ben and 14-11 without Ben.  Even the Houston Texans were winning games with Matt Schaub, Kase Keenum, Fitzmagic, Hoyer and Mallet.  What these teams can/could do is win games on the defensive side or with a running game.  Don't get me wrong, Mike Mcdingdong and Dommy Capers are also to blame, but that is another blog for another time.  I want to focus on Ted.

The Packers defense has STUNK since 2011.  Ted keeps swinging and missing on defensive draft picks, Dommy keeps his job and Mcdingdong keeps running his same bland offense.  Lets dive into Ted's draft picks since 2011.

Out of the 32 draft picks taken in rounds 1-5, 18 of them stink.  I understand it is not easy to draft and most of the time it can be a crap shoot, but the issue is that the Packers refuse to sign free agents and play all of these bad draft picks.  Why is Kyler Fackrell in the NFL?  He literally does nothing.  I could do what he does.  I could go into the game, get dominated on every play and make zero impact.

 I am sick of Ted Thompson getting a pass because he has Aaron Rodgers.  Ted Thompson has had Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers for 13 seasons, but 1 super bowl title and appearance to show for it.  In those 13 seasons, Eli Manning has 2 titles and Joe Flacco has 1.  It is time for major changes in Green Bay and I hope that all the qualified NFL owners take note.
