Nice photo Sean. Maybe crack a smile and be happy that you are a NBA coach because we all know you actually should be handing out water during timeouts to Oshkosh Herd players. For those of you who don't know who Sean Sweeney is, he is a current assistant coach for the Milwaukee Bucks and has been tabbed the "Defensive Coordinator" by Jason Kidd. Wow, that seems like a pretty important job, Sean must be a very qualified dude to be running a NBA teams defense. Lets check out Mr. Back Row's basketball history.
2006: College Basketball Player - University of St. Thomas. Sean was referred to as a "true coach on the floor" which is shocking since he is a white point guard. What makes that statement even better is that he isn't even a coach on the floor right now because he sits in the back row.
2006-2007: Assistant Basketball Coach - Anoka-Ramsey Community College. Sean ran the Golden Rams defense. One can only imagine he ran the same bullshit he is trying to run now in the NBA.
2007-2009: Director of Basketball Operations - University of Evansville. This position was not an on-court coaching position, but rather a film study position. Evansville was very smart to not let Sean actually coach on the court.
2009-2010: Assistant Coach - Academy of Art University. The Urban Knights are a Division 2 school that plays in the Pacific West Conference. The Urban Knights complied a record of 0-26 during Sean's lone season on staff. Good job Sean! Check out the oversized polo on this guy.
2011-2013: ASSISTANT Video Coordinator - Brooklyn Nets. Sean spent 3 season as the ASSISTANT Video Coordinator for the Nets. I highlight the word ASSISTANT because this peanut boy was probably just rewinding film on VHS for the actual Video Coordinator.
2013-2014: Assistant Coach- Brooklyn Nets. Jason Kidd loved Sean's VHS rewinding ability so much, he promoted him to an Assistant Coach. Sean was still stuffed in the back row, but little Seany can now wear his big boy pants as a coach.
2014-Present: Assistant Coach - Milwaukee Bucks. Jason Kidd brought his water boy with him when he became the Head Coach of the Bucks. Sean still sits in the back row. You can see him standing up on his booster seat, yelling at the team when they are on defense. The Bucks defense was a hit during Kidd's first season, but has been a failure since then. Jason would surely change some things up right? Maybe take the defensive reigns away from Sean, surely? I mean, Jason Kidd is a Hall of Famer, he most definitely would take the defense over since it has been failing. It is Jason's job on the line after all. Instead, he lets Sean keep running this shitty defense with the same shitty results. Wide open three after wide open three. Shocking that NBA players and coaches can actually beat this scrambling trapping defense.
Sean "Back Row Coach" Sweeney ladies and gentlemen, is indeed a scrub. And just like TLC once said, "I don't want no scrubs."
